The City Tour in Lima is a magnificent tour through the city where you can visit the main tourist spots and historical sites in Lima.
We will explore Lima in its three historical periods: Pre-Hispanic Lima, Colonial Lima, and Modern Lima. We will present a panoramic view of “La Huaca Pucllana“, visit the impressive Historic Center of Lima: its palaces, mansions, churches, museum, and squares, finishing with a visit to the residential and financial area of San Isidro and an unforgettable view of the Pacific Ocean in the Miraflores district.
Itinerary
Hotel Pickup
The day starts with a hotel pickup at 9:00 am, ready to immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of the city.
Centro de Lima
We begin our tour with a visit to the imposing Palace of Justice, followed by a stop at the Sheraton Hotel Convention Center, where you can admire its contemporary architecture.
Roosevelt House
We will visit this architectural gem inspired by a chessboard, before heading to the Plaza Don José de San Martín, where we will learn about the history behind the creation of the Peruvian Flag.
Reserva Museum
We will discover fascinating exhibits on the history and culture of the country.
House of Literature
We will see the first printing press to arrive in the country and explore the Linguistic Map of Peru’s regions, immersing ourselves in the country’s linguistic diversity.
Visit to Morro Solar
We will admire the majestic statue of Christ of the Pacific, illuminated at night with an impressive variety of colors. From here, we will enjoy panoramic views of Lima and the Peruvian coastline. We will continue to the Cross of the South, a lit cross built with towers destroyed by terrorists, as a symbol of hope and a welcome to Pope John Paul II on his second visit to Peru.
Lunch
We will end the day with a delicious meal at a seafood and traditional restaurant by the sea, where you will enjoy a complimentary Pisco Sour.
Return to Hotel
With full hearts and lasting memories, we will return to your hotel, having explored and appreciated the best of Lima’s historical and cultural heritage.
