The Paracas – Ica Tour gives you the opportunity to explore and discover two of Peru’s top tourist destinations, located on the country’s southern coast. Paracas is known for its beaches and natural reserves, such as the Paracas National Reserve and the Ballestas Islands, and also has historical sites like the Candelabra, a huge geoglyph carved into the sand and visible from the coast, as well as the beautiful Peruvian coast.
Ica, on the other hand, is famous for its wines and piscos, and is a great place to try local cuisine. It is also known for its Huacachina National Park, such as the Huacachina Oasis, and its sand dunes, where you can enjoy sports like sandboarding and buggy riding.
Itinerary
Start of the Trip to Paracas
At the indicated time, we will begin with the pickup from your hotel or designated point. We will take a journey of approximately 3 hours heading towards Paracas Beach. During the trip, we will make a brief stop in Chilca, where you can enjoy a traditional breakfast of chicharrones and tamales (optional).
Tour to the Ballestas Islands
Upon arriving in Paracas, we will head to Puerto El Chaco with the guide, where we will board modern speedboats heading towards the Ballestas Islands. During the trip, you will see the famous Candelabra as well as wildlife such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, cormorants, flamingos, and other seabirds.
The excursion lasts approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, ideal for enjoying the natural beauty of the place.
Tasting at Dulcería Viviana
After the tour, you will have a brief free time for a snack or drink. Then we will visit the traditional Dulcería Viviana, where you will taste handmade chocotejas, alfajores, jams, and other typical products.
Visit to Ica and Cultur Pisco Experience
We will continue to the city of Ica to visit the Cultur Pisco winery and restaurant. You will learn about the winemaking process, tour its farming areas, and participate in a tasting of piscos and wines, including creams, macerates, and mistelas, accompanied by stories from the region.
Exploring the Huacachina Oasis
Our next stop will be the famous Huacachina Oasis, located just 5 km from downtown Ica. You can walk, relax, and take photos in this iconic landscape surrounded by dunes.
Adventure in Sand Buggies and Sandboarding
Next, we will enjoy the most anticipated activity: riding sandy buggies for an adrenaline-filled experience through the dunes. You will also be able to try sandboarding, ideal for those seeking adventure.
Return to Lima
After the experience, we will begin the return trip to Lima. We will make a technical stop in Asia before continuing to the final point previously established.
