We will also take a tour of the Pachacamac Citadel, and to finish, we’ll enjoy a brief visit to the bohemian district of Barranco.
Itinerary
Start of the Tour in Barranco
At 09:40, we begin our journey through Barranco, one of the smallest districts in Lima but full of character, known for being the city’s bohemian zone. During the tour, you’ll see its Main Square, the iconic Bridge of Sighs, the Chabuca Granda Monument, the Hermitage, and the famous Bajada de Baños. This district, rich in history and art, is one of Lima’s most emblematic locations.
Tour of Chorrillos
We continue toward Chorrillos, a district with a fascinating history. Its name comes from the freshwater springs that once flowed from the cliffs to Agua Dulce Beach. This picturesque fishing town was officially named San Pedro de los Chorrillos. As we explore, you’ll learn more about its traditions and strong connection to the sea.
Visit to Pachacamac
Next, we head to Pachacamac, the most important sanctuary on the Peruvian coast during the pre-Hispanic period. For more than twelve hundred years, it was considered a prestigious site, famous for its oracle consulted by curacas and leaders from across ancient Peru. During this visit, we will explore the temples of Pachacamac, highlighting the figure of the God Pachacamac, known for his power over the earth.
Return to Lima
After the tour, at 14:00, we begin our return trip to your hotel. At 18:40, we arrive back in Lima after a journey filled with history, culture, and unique landscapes.
