Discover the oldest civilization in America, in the heart of the Supe Valley, in the Barranca province, where more than 5,000 years ago, one of the oldest civilizations in the world was born in Peru.
Caral, ruled the north of Lima simultaneously with great cultures such as Mesopotamia, India, Egypt, and China. Built on rocky lands, it shows harmony with the environment as it was strategically located for regional exchange.
The Sacred City of Caral was a complex made up of various structures, located on a terrace that protected it from potential natural disasters, landslides, and floods. The buildings were made with stones and wood from dead trees, without the need for resource depletion, thus protecting the environment and being considered the first sustainable civilization.
